Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Depending on how you use TalentX, we may collect:

• Name and contact details (email, phone number, location, time zone)
• Candidate profile information: headline, summary, skills, languages, availability and work preferences
• Employment history and education
• CVs / résumés you upload
• Identity documents and credential or experience documents you submit for verification
• Video introductions and recorded interview answers
• Assessment attempts and results
• Employer and company details and business documents submitted for employer verification
• Messages and attachments sent through TalentX
• Application, interview and hiring activity
• Payment and transaction references (card details are handled by our payment provider, Paystack — TalentX does not store card numbers)
• Basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and working

Why we collect it and how we use it

• To create and run your account and Talent Passport
• To match candidates with opportunities and let employers find, assess, interview and hire talent
• To run TalentX-managed recruitment on behalf of employers
• To carry out verification you request or consent to
• To send notifications you need (applications, interviews, job alerts) by in-app message, email and, if you opt in, WhatsApp
• To process payments, prevent fraud and keep the platform safe
• To provide Career AI tools, which create drafts and suggestions; they never send anything without you

Who can see your information

• Employers see candidate profiles only according to each candidate's visibility settings. Private profiles are not shown in public search.
• Employers can see application details, interview answers and assessment status only for candidates who applied to, or were invited for, their own opportunities.
• Verification documents and CVs are stored privately. Employers see the verification result (for example “Identity Verified”), not your documents.
• Interview videos and message files are private and visible only to the people involved in that interview or conversation, and authorised TalentX staff.
• Authorised TalentX staff can access information where needed to provide recruitment, verification, support and safety.
• Service providers who help us run TalentX (hosting, email, payment, video calls, messaging) process data only to provide those services.
• For international recruitment, information may be shared with licensed partners or employers abroad where needed for a role you are pursuing.

We do not sell personal information.

Storage and security

Data is stored with cloud infrastructure providers, which may be located outside Nigeria. We use access controls, private file storage and server-side permission checks. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Retention

We keep information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed for recruitment, legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. When it is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

Your controls and rights

• Edit your profile, visibility, messaging and notification settings at any time in Settings
• Hide or remove your video introduction and documents
• Request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent for optional processing, such as verification or WhatsApp notifications
